Western Plains

Theme: Overworld/Plains

While listening to different overworld themes to gain inspiration, I came across the soundtrack for "Wild Arms," a JRPG that's a lot less rootin' tootin' than you'd think it is, but bears a strong aural resemblance to Ennio Morricone's score for The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. This sent me down a rabbit hole of Wild West-themed RPG soundtracks, which still kinda fits the "plains" theme anyway. You can find a great playlist of some here.

Professor Lemieux would have preferred me to find a way to evoke a Western theme without relying on the Morricone Pastiche trope you can read about here, but I chose instead to embrace these tropes wholeheartedly.
